Susan is an experienced administrative assistant with more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She spent the majority of her career working for one of the Triangle’s top performing developers, Duke Realty. Her construction knowledge, sound decision-making ability and her willingness to be a team player are major attributes for DCI.
Susan has worked with every aspect of construction from the project start to the completion and close-out process. She has experience providing support to construction managers and coordinating tasks with subcontractors. She is knowledgeable of building permit process, contracts, and organizing/maintaining project files.
At DCI, Susan is responsible for handling the majority of the administrative tasks of the company and keeping everything organized among the team.
DAVID PARKER, PE
Vice President
David brings invaluable insights and experience to DCI. He has worked in development and construction management for nearly 20 years with a unique perspective on how to efficiently manage large-scale projects.
Prior to joining DCI, David was a Preconstruction Manager at Duke Realty where he was responsible for preconstruction and construction management. During his tenure at Duke, David acquired significant experience in conceptual estimating, scheduling, design, entitlement and construction of high rise, office, medical and industrial projects along with land and property acquisition and disposition.
Before his time at Duke, David was a Project Manager for Shimizu North America where he was responsible for industrial and automotive construction projects. The complex engineering projects managed with Shimizu created a strong sense of analytical and logical thinking that he applies to every project.
As part of his duties at DCI, David provides the technical leadership for design, installation and commissioning of building systems required to meet today’s emphasis on energy efficiency and occupant health and well-being.
David is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina, a LEED® Accredited Professional and a licensed General Contractor.
