Susan is an experienced administrative assistant with more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She spent the majority of her career working for one of the Triangle’s top performing developers, Duke Realty. Her construction knowledge, sound decision-making ability and her willingness to be a team player are major attributes for DCI.
Susan has worked with every aspect of construction from the project start to the completion and close-out process. She has experience providing support to construction managers and coordinating tasks with subcontractors. She is knowledgeable of building permit process, contracts, and organizing/maintaining project files.
At DCI, Susan is responsible for handling the majority of the administrative tasks of the company and keeping everything organized among the team.

Steve is a licensed architect with over 30 years of experience in design and construction related project management, budgeting, and scheduling. As a Senior Project Manager for DCI, Steve brings a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry while offering a collaborative approach to client relationships.
Steve previously served as Associate Director for Duke Health’s Facility Planning, Design and Construction department. His projects ranged from $100k to over $100M as he served as Supervisor and Senior Project Manager to multiple staff members. One of Steve’s most notable projects is the Medical Sciences Research Building 3, Duke University School of Medicine, a LEED Silver project with a $99M budget.
Steve is a seasoned leader who works well with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, Architects, and project authorities throughout each phase of the design process. Completing projects on time and within budget is a hallmark of Steve’s work which has earned him the trust and mutual respect of his clients. Steve also has an extensive track record of delivering exceptional work to his clients and has done so while juggling multiple jobs at one time, as he did during his time with Duke Health.
Steve is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design. As a registered architect since 1993, Steve is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a member of the NC Healthcare Engineers Association. He is also an experienced public speaker. Steve is proud to call North Carolina home and has lived in the Triangle area for over 35 years. Outside of work, Steve enjoys golf, fly fishing, and spending time with his family, including his two grandsons.
