Susan is an experienced administrative assistant with more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She spent the majority of her career working for one of the Triangle’s top performing developers, Duke Realty. Her construction knowledge, sound decision-making ability and her willingness to be a team player are major attributes for DCI.
Susan has worked with every aspect of construction from the project start to the completion and close-out process. She has experience providing support to construction managers and coordinating tasks with subcontractors. She is knowledgeable of building permit process, contracts, and organizing/maintaining project files.
At DCI, Susan is responsible for handling the majority of the administrative tasks of the company and keeping everything organized among the team.
Thomas brings over 15 years of architectural design experience to the DCI team. As a Project Manager for DCI, Thomas oversees projects of all sizes with a focus on office, industrial, and healthcare clients. Thomas has built strong relationships with his clients by understanding project risks, how to mitigate those risks, and successfully leading design and construction teams to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
Prior to joining the DCI team, Thomas served as a Project Manager, Project Architect, and Construction Administrator at Gensler. During his time there he oversaw numerous large-scale projects including the 500,000 SF Bandwidth Corporate Campus in Raleigh, NC and the 650,000 SF Park Point adaptive reuse office campus in RTP. Thomas also served as project manager on two RDU projects including the upcoming 12-gate, 600,000 SF expansion of Terminal 1.
Thomas earned a Master’s degree in Architecture from North Carolina State University and received a Construction Management Diploma. He also earned a Bachelor’s degrees in History and in Economics from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work Thomas wears another professional hat as a co-founder of Standard Beer + Food, an upscale Brew-Pub concept located in Downtown Raleigh. When he isn’t busy with Standard, Thomas enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Frances and dog Willie.
